BUSINESS, VISITOR’S, WORK AND STUDENT VISAS TO RUSSIA
In order to get a business visitor’s, work or study visa please submit the following paperwork to the Consular Section of the Embassy in person:
1. A completed visa application form (2 application forms to be submitted by the citizens of the USA, the UK and Georgia).
2. A valid passport which should have at least two clear visa pages. The passport must be valid for not less than 6 months after the expiry date of the visa. If you apply for work or student visas your passport should be valid for not less than 18 months.
3. An official invitation issued through the Russian Federal Migration Service.
4. One passport quality coloured or black-and-white photo of the applicant 3 cm by 4 cm (2 photos to be submitted by the citizens of the USA, the UK and Georgia).
5. A permit for temporary residence (a permission to live in Azerbaijan more than 90 days without leaving the country) issued by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan.
6. An insurance policy.
7. An HIV certificate which should not be older than 3 months in case you apply for a multiple visa, work visa or student visa.
8. If you apply for a transit visa please submit tickets to Russia and to the neighbouring country as well as a copy of the visa to the neighbouring country.
9. In case of an emergency (unexpected illness, death of a close relative) visitor's visa can be obtained upon submitting a certified cable from a doctor of a Russian clinic or a copy of death certificate. Proof of kinship is required.
TOURIST VISA TO RUSSIA
In order to get a tourist visa please submit the following paperwork to the Consular Section of the Embassy in person:
1. A completed visa application form (2 application forms to be submitted by the citizens of the USA, the UK and Georgia).
2. A valid passport which should have at least two clear visa pages. The passport must be valid for not less than 6 months after the expiry date of the visa.
3. A permit for temporary residence (a permission to live in Azerbaijan more than 90 days without leaving the country) issued by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan.
4. A tourist letter of confirmation and a voucher from a hosting authorized Russian travel agency or a hotel, registered with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
5. One passport quality coloured or black-and-white photo of the applicant 3 cm by 4 cm (2 photos to be submitted by the citizens of the USA, the UK and Georgia).
6. An insurance policy.
7. Tickets.
In case of any doubt about the true purpose of the tourist trip the consul can demand detailed tourist programme.
According to the decree of the Russian Government №1223 as of November, 5, 1999, only the citizens and the vehicles of the CIS counties, Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia can cross the GROUND BORDER between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.
